You are warmly invited to come and visit me in my studio. A chance to explore the inspirational space and view an exhibition of new work, see work in progress and enjoy demonstrations, as well as have a lovely chat over a cuppa and a slice of cake in the garden, in the sunshine (hopefully). It is lovely to build relationships with you all during this event and to be able to show you the place where I get the inspiration for the work I create and the narratives I weave into the compositions. The garden is further on than most years due to the mild spring and all the rain, however I am open a little earlier this year so my gorgeous Patty's Plum poppy might just be at its best and the lutea foxgloves are also looking like they will be in their prime. From M20 and Ashford: Take Jct 9 exit and follow signs to A28 Tenterden. Continue until a signposted left-hand turn for Woodchurch (also mentioning Shirkoak Farm B&B). Take the left turn, and continue for just over a mile, then turn left following a sign for Cycle Route 18. The studio is on the left about 1 mile from the junction, and there will be bunting and plenty of signs. There should be space on the drive to park. From Tenterden: Head out of Tenterden on the A28 towards Ashford, and when you reach High Halden, just after the pelican crossing, turn right at the Village Green opposite The Chequers Pub onto Church Hill which turns into Plurenden Lane (signposted Woodchurch). Follow this lane for approximately 3 miles (passing Plurenden Dairy Farm) and keep going until you reach the crossroads. Give way at the crossroads before you continue straight ahead. The studio is approximately 1 mile on your left. There will be bunting and plenty of signs, and there should be space on the drive to park.
